Information about
the Three Report Sections
(For more information about what
the evaluators looked for in the Content and Instructional Analyses, see Project
2061 Analysis Procedure.)
- About this Evaluation Report:
For each report, this section describes which specific parts of the curriculum
material were evaluated, introduces the content and instructional analyses,
and explains the page reference abbreviations used.
- Content Analysis: The Content
Analysis describes the extent to which the curriculum material's content attempts
to address the substance and level of sophistication of the key ideas for
Earth science, life science, or physical science. You can read this analysis
in its entirety or click on each section (Alignment, Building a Case, Coherence,
Beyond Literacy, and Accuracy) individually.
- Instructional Analysis:
The Instructional Analysis describes the quality of the curriculum material's
instructional support, including ratings for each criterion and an in-depth
discussion of each rating. You can read this analysis in its entirety or click
on each of the seven instructional categories separately.
