Drawing on Project 2061’s Science for All Americans, Benchmarks for Science Literacy, and Atlas of Science Literacy, these guides support teachers as they convey core science concepts to students and build their own knowledge about important topics like evolution, global climate change, and the nature of science. The guides describe what science-literate adults should know about these special topics and then show how students work toward that knowledge as they move from kindergarten through high school.
