The peer-reviewed online journal Chemistry Education Research and Practice has just published a new article by Project 2061 research associate, Cari Herrmann-Abell and deputy director, George DeBoer.
Using Distractor-Driven Standards-Based Multiple-Choice Assessments and Rasch Modeling to Investigate Hierarchies of Chemistry Misconceptions and Detect Structural Problems with Individual Items focuses on a key aspect of Project 2061's assessment research and development effort funded by the National Science Foundation. Look for the full text of the article in the next issue of Project 2061 CONNECTIONS.
